our why

Heather, owner and visionary of this unique timber /\frame cabin had a vision to offer a high-end unique vacation rental to everyone.

Everyone includes those with limited mobility as well.

In Heathers tween years her grandfather, Andy, suffered a spinal cord injury (c4-c5) in a tragic mining accident, which left him a quadriplegic.

Andy never let his injury stop him. He traveled every chance he got, but the limitations of where he could stay were the biggest challenge. Knowing that

Heather's parents converted their French River waterfront home to be wheelchair friendly and Andy loved every minute spent there, especially basking in the sun overlooking the view of the French River.

Heather wants to provide those with similar disabilities with the same opportunity her parents offered her grandfather.

The primary king room has been named Andy's room in honour of her amazing grandfather.
